Abgail and Alistair – Wedding Photography uk

Abgail rang me on a recommendation. She was planning and searching for a photographer close to her wedding venue.  This venue was to be Ettington Park Hotel and it was a long way from home. The couple lived in Norfolk.

Abgail was looking for a creative wedding photographer and had searched wedding photography UK for a collaborative creative.  We set a date to meet up.

I walked into the Great Drawing room to meet her and Alistair at Ettington. She sat, perched on the cushion of a big sofa, she looked around and we instantly smiled at each other and I knew there and then that I liked her. My first discovery was that they were already married! They had married in a local registry office and had been underwhelmed by a low-key celebration. So the plan was to re-celebrate in style in a big and elaborate destination wedding venue hosting for 80 guests and bringing both sides of their diverse families together.

A mixed race wedding and a blessing from her new father-in-law in the Norman style Chapel. The day was booked for an outside venue, ‘The Bell Tower’ but unreliable weather sent us inside the small chapel close by. It was the most full and joyful I have seen the chapel with guests standing in the aisles, as Abgail so wanted a church blessing. No one seemed to mind and there was a real energy throughout.

Abgail was lovely to photograph. Her smile came from inside, from inner faith and love of life and everyone around her, which made her even more beautiful. Everyone talked about her kindness and during her pre-blessing preparations, I saw her rushing around helping everyone, even searching for a lost page boy. Everything was a joy to her and she literally smiled all day.
