Contemporary Wedding Photography : Raj, Dan and Jai

by

First of all, I was so excited to photograph Raj & Dan’s wedding. They were just such a vibrant, fun and super-easy to be around couple. The wedding day was a breeze to shoot; such a lovely warm summer wedding with sun and green rolling fields and a couple who hardly noticed the camera. The result was lovely natural and unforced contemporary wedding photography, expressions and moments. Their shoot felt very romantic and intimate. We were all easy around each other and therefore they could just concentrate on being relaxed and just together.

When I first spoke with Dan, he was working away to plan what was to be quite a challenging wedding. In addition Raj and Dan came from very different cultural backgrounds. He called me up and told me they had seen my work and just loved it. We had quite a long chat on the phone together with lots of laughs and I felt we just clicked. Most of all personality and engaging with their photographer was a priority and I think he appreciated my down to earth approach and easy chat. Afterwards their wedding review of me would read ’we knew she was the ‘one’ as there was no hard sell or marketing, just honest impartial advice’.

Natural & Contemporary Wedding Photography

Above all they just wanted happy, easy and natural shots; photos which were filled with lots of love for each other and this included Jai, Raj’s little boy.  Raj was big hair, tiny frame and big smile, it was clear Dan just absolutely adored her. I watched the way he looked at her during our pre-ceremony consultation and rehearsal shoot, he never left off looking at her for too long. Jai was a sunny boy and loved messing about and trying to make me laugh.

Raj was married in a stunning dusky ivory guipure lace sculptured gown, along with nude Christian Louboutin’s and carrying hand-tied Calla Lilies.

Ettington Park Hotel is just gorgeous in summer time, the light on the terraces, the lovely sandstone building and outside wedding venues make it one of the best summer wedding locations in the area. Raj & Dan were married under the sun and crumbling arches of the Orangery, amongst the lavender beds and with great shots looking out of the arches on to the house, a perfect back drop.

In conclusion, a lovely summer wedding at Ettington Park for a lovely couple.
